Houghton, Baraga, Keweenaw

District One is where it all began. The first meetings were held in the small town of L’Anse and the association grew from there. Jim Engel is as dedicated to preserving trapping and getting a fair shake for trappers as almost anyone. But he can’t do it alone, even though he has the will to make things “really happen” up in the north country! IF YOU LIVE IN THIS AREA, CLICK ON THE JOIN PAGE, SIGN UP AS A DISTRICT 1 MEMBER, ATTEND ALL THEIR MEETINGS, CONSIDER FILLING THE VACANT VICE PRESIDENT POSITION AND DO WHAT YOU CAN TO BUILD ON THE SUCCESS OF THOSE FROM YOUR AREA WHO STARTED (WAY BACK IN 1962) AND GREW THE U.P. TRAPPERS ASSOCIATION TO WHAT IT IS TODAY!
