DISTRICT TWO

Ontonagon, Gogebic, Iron

District two hosted the 2005 and 2006 conventions, which were both held at the Gogebic County Fairgrounds in Ironwood Michigan. If you attended either of these conventions, you know that District Two knows how to put on a good show. They had many excellent dealers displaying their wares, the demos were top-notch and the food vendor provided good food at reasonable prices. They are now sending an energetic crew down to Escanaba to help out at the regional conventions, which are now being held exclusively in Escanaba, Michigan.

Though struggling for several years, District 2 was comletely revitalized in March of 2025. The Upper Peninsula Trappers Association held a reorganizational meeting March 29 in Ontonagon County to help recruit, retain and reactivate trappers, or those interested in learning about trapping, in Gogebic, Ontonagon and Iron counties.

Once again District 2 is poised to regain its former statis and now has a full slate of officers again and is ready to go to work.
