Thinking About a Great Lakes Fishing Charter While in Michigan’s Beautiful Upper Peninsula?
Many of the local charter fishing captains have ports in and around Escanaba for fishing both Big and Little Bays de Noc and the Bay of Green Bay, which are all connected to Lake Michigan. Fish of many kinds abound and most of the local captains have one or more species of fish that they target, so there are many choices for you when planning your adventure. World Class Walleye, Northern Pike running to 20# and more, Jumbo Perch, and lots of Smallmouth Bass with some 5 fish limits ranging from 18 to 20 inches or larger.
And if you want to fish the “largest freshwater lake in the world by surface area and the third-largest by volume,” some ports on Lake Superior are only hours away from Escanaba. Most of the Captains on Lake Superior target Salmon, Steelhead, Brown, Lake Trout, Walleye, Perch, Bass, Splake, and Northern Pike.
