Once again we had a very successful Midwinter Trapper’s Workshop in Hermansville on February 6. This would not have been possible without the volunteers who helped out, our two supply dealers, Burton Trapping Supplies & Clark’s Willow Tree Fur, and our local fur buyer, Skunk Creek Trapping Supply. We would also like to thank the many who donated prizes for this event. We apologize if anyone got left out. We know a few people just brought their donations to the back of the room and may not have gotten their donations recorded. Here is a list of all the donations that we had recorded:
Mike Lewis — fawn and fox pictures
Dave Vardian — log cabin bird feeder and the boot jack
Bays De Noc Gobblers — moose picture and the Rapid River knife
Bark River Knife — compasses binoculars and head lights
U.P. Steam and Gas Association– furnished enough lumber to build 130 weasel boxes
Keith Thorson owner of Tree Treasurers — furnished lumber to build 80 weasel boxes and donated the polar bear picture
Dan Absolon — donated 64 weasel boxes
Larry Potter — dirt sifter
F&T — gave us a discount on the lure we gave away
John Gunville — 6 coyote drags
Terry Haanpaa — 12 bottles of lure
